Jake woke up on April Fools’ Day with a sense of excitement. He loved pulling pranks on his friends, and this year he had planned the ultimate joke. He had bought a fake spider that looked incredibly realistic and was going to place it in his coworker’s desk drawer.
As he arrived at the office, he couldn’t wait to see his coworker’s reaction. He snuck into the office early and carefully placed the spider in the drawer, making sure it was perfectly positioned to scare his unsuspecting victim.
But as he turned around to leave, he felt a chill run down his spine. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was watching him. He tried to ignore it and left the office, convinced that it was just his imagination.
As the day went on, Jake kept checking his phone for any updates on his coworker’s reaction, but he heard nothing. It wasn’t until he went back to the office to retrieve his jacket that he realized something was wrong.
When he opened the door to the office, the lights were off, and there was an eerie silence. He walked over to his coworker’s desk, and to his horror, he saw the spider sitting on top of the desk, its legs twitching.
Jake tried to grab the spider, but it scurried away and disappeared into the darkness. Suddenly, he heard a low growling sound coming from the shadows. He froze in terror as a pair of glowing eyes appeared in front of him.
He realized too late that the spider was not the only thing lurking in the darkness. As he screamed and ran for the door, he knew he had made a grave mistake by underestimating the power of April Fools’ Day.
